Yes — “Explore as Guest” lets you try Veridia instantly. Guests don't receive the welcome Echo grant and guest victories don't mint rewards, so create a free account when you're ready to compete. Echoes are the spendable currency — each story move costs 1 Echo, and you top up by winning stories, watching a rewarded ad, or buying packs. Nova is prestige: it's earned only by finishing stories and is the sole score that counts in the world and monthly rankings. Purchased Echoes never affect rank. The monthly board resets on the 1st of every month (UTC). At reset, the previous month's top 100 real players automatically receive Echo prizes — a larger prize for the podium, a standard one for ranks 4–100. Small talk, waiting or repeating yourself won't move it — discovering clues, gaining items or allies, reaching key places and executing real plans will. On your iPhone or iPad open Settings → your name (Apple ID) → Subscriptions → Veridia → Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops future renewals; your current month stays active until it ends, and you keep the Echoes already credited. Your account is charged within 24 hours before each period ends, and the 1,000 Echoes are credited the moment Apple confirms that payment. If a renewal payment isn't collected, no Echoes are added for that period. If a charge went through but the Echoes didn't appear, reopen the app (pending transactions are re-checked at launch), then contact us with your receipt if it's still missing. This means a story turn couldn't reach our servers — usually a brief connection drop. Your Echo is refunded automatically and your message is restored to the input box; just send it again. Story chats are stored only on your device for privacy — they never leave it, so deleting the app deletes them. Your account, balance, Nova and rankings live safely in the cloud and come back the moment you sign in.
